救援人员称在星期五下午，在卡城西北发生的一起工伤事故导致一名男子死亡。 

EMS称事故发生在 Rosehill Drive 和10 Street西北处。 

大约在下午1:00，一名男子被夹在一台重型施工机械和混泥土护栏之间，在救援人员到达之前，人们已将男子救出。据调查，男子在工作中出现意外。 

医护人员立即开始抢救，但由于伤势严重，男子不久后死亡。 

事故原因仍不清楚，没有其他人受到伤害。 

A 35-year-old man is dead after being crushed by machinery on a construction site in the city's northwest this afternoon, emergency medical officials say.

EMS says they found the construction worker unconscious at the site near Rosehill Drive and 10th Street just after 1 p.m.

"[He] had been pinned between a piece of heavy construction machinery and concrete barrier," EMS spokesman Adam Loria said in a statement.

Paramedics tried to revive him, but he died of his injuries. He was declared dead at the scene.

Alberta's Occupational Health and Safety department is investigating.
