(Google Maps) A boy — believed to be about five-years-old — was sent to hospital with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a vehicle in a southeast Calgary community, police said. Calgary police responded to a call just after 5 p.m. Thursday to the intersection of Cranford Drive and Cranston Gate S.E. The child was taken to Alberta Children's Hospital. The driver remained on scene while police conduct their investigation, which has the intersection closed until further notice.
