Two men dead and three injured after gunfire erupts in downtown Toronto early Sunday
Toronto police are investigating a late-night shooting in Toronto that left one dead and three injured.
Toronto police say two people are dead and three others wounded after an early morning shooting.
The gunfire erupted shortly after 3 a.m. on the edge of Kensington Market, home to many bars and clubs, and in Chinatown, where revellers often end up for a late night meal.
Det. Sgt. Mike Carbone says police were called around 3:15 a.m., and that there was some kind of argument before shots rang out.
Anyone who was in the area of Spadina Ave and Nassau St at 3:15am today is asked to call the Homicide Squad at 4168087400 or @1800222TIPS cb

Carbone says one man died at the scene and a second man later in hospital.
Three other victims were taken to hospital.
Carbone says police are checking for surveillance tapes, and they would like anyone with cellphone video to provide it to investigators.
There’s no word on suspects. No names have been released.
