Police investigating after a man approached teenage girls

Police are investigating reports of a man inappropriately approaching three teenage girls in the communities of Evergreen and Bridlewood, in three separate events, the latest of which was last night. The first incident occurred on Jan. 7 at around 3:30 p.m. A man approached a girl who was walking along Bridlewood Road S.W., asking her for directions and then if he could give her a ride. After the girl said no, the man began to touch himself before driving away. Police believe the same man approached another girl about half an hour later along Eversyde Avenue S.W., and did the same thing. An investigation has been underway since the two incidents, but police now believe the man approached a third girl on Jan. 15, at around 2:30 p.m., this time along Everridge Drive S.W. All three girls are in their mid-teens and of Asian descent. The man is described as being in his 20s and possibly either Asian or Hispanic, with brown skin, a slim build and some facial hair. In two of the cases he was wearing a camouflage-coloured top. The vehicle is described as a white, two-door car with black seats, and investigators believe that it may be a Honda Civic.
